I just moved from NC to Greenlawn last week and am working on getting NY state car insurance. Anyone have any experience, positive or negative, with TSC Direct? Their quote was by far the best I've received... which makes them suspect in my mind We had USAA previously, but their quote for NY coverage is pretty high...

I haven't heard anything bad but they will drop you like a hot potato if you get so much as a ticket, let alone get in an accident. Still, may as well save money while you can.

Ha ha...when I was shopping around they wouldn't even talk to me because of one ticket I had gotten 3-4 years prior. Not blaming them...I just had never gotten that response from an insurance company before.

Try Geico. I have been with them for years. There rates are good and service is great.

The two cheapest will be Geico and TSC direct. TSC is more diffucult to obtain (they want perfect drivers). That being said I just got State Farm because I needed homeowners and it wasn't that far off.

Agreed. Even if they aren't the cheapest (although they should be darn close) their service is GREAT.
