Why do they take so long to check out an apartment that has been reported as illegal? It has been 5 weeks since I reported the apartment and no one has come to check it out. Don't they WANT to get rid of it? And yes, I know for sure the apartment is illegal. I saw the Certificate of Occupancy.

Some towns require filing a written complaint; don't know about Islip.
town of islip slow i have a hse that is running a business out of it. trucks all all kinds of things. its been 10 months now with 2 court dates all posponded. we nned to get rid of islip town and start our own village with tougher laws
