I am about to hire an house engineer/inspector or whatever they all it to inspect one property. Anyone knows where to find a reliable inspector? is there a rating website where reviews can be found? Thanks guys!
I'm actually using a company called Home Sweet Home Inspections. They are located in Huntington Station. A buyer who was interested in purchasing my condo used them and I couldn't believe how thorough they were. This is the reason I decided to go with them myself for my inspection on the house I am purchasing.
We have a good inspector right here on the forum: our own Rich with KB Inspections. Termite inspection is included.
Some of my buyers have used him and were very satisfied!

I had a very inexpensive home inspection- but it was on a condo, which im sure was part of the reason why it was cheaper... It also included termite inspection... Chuck from WIN Inpections... They have various locations on the island
I called Rich. is $550 too high for a two family house? some are 400. others are 300. That's a very expensive inspection!
For a full inspection including termite inspection it's right in the middle.
Just had an inspection done in Broad Channel, small 2-family, 2 over 1 BR, no basement (slab); cost: $575 and handwritten report, no email, nothing typed!
