This past week my gf was recently involved in a accident where the other driver ran a Red Light and they both collided totaling our only vehicle. The other driver is claiming that he did not run the Red Light. The officers on the scene did not issue a ticket.

Does anyone know how or where we would go to obtain this footage? We only have our rental for a couple of weeks and are trying see if we can speed up the process by obtaining the evidence and thus getting us another means of transportation.

Please, any info is welcomed. Thanks.

Red light cameras are not owned by the city using them. Typically the company who installs them receives any fines resulting from their use. I would ask the city clerk for contact info for ownership of the camera.

One of my former tenants works for the company that installed most of the cameras in Los Angeles.
I can contact him,but I need to know what intersection the accident occured, time and date.
He may be able to pull up the video.
It's worth a try.
Bob.

Yes absolutely, please. If you possibly could it would be a tremendous help. I have read from a few places that the footage is only kept for 30 days. I am not sure if this is true, but
would definitely try anything to get some kind of evidence. We have gone through multiple divisions of departments only to be told routinely that someone from another department can assist you or your insurance adjuster should be handling it (which we feel they are not) etc.

The intersection is just outside of Downtown, located at Flower and Venice.

Intersection: Flower and Venice
Time Frame: 9:35am - 9:45am (Police reported accident it at 9:50am)
Date: Feb 6th
Vehicles involved: White Acura(Our Car), Grey Mitsubishi Galant

Thank you in advance for any information you can possibly retain.
