Those areas are all percieved as being very nice, upper class to upper middle class, black neighborhoods. Ladera is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in all of L.A. County and very heavily influenced by the entertainment industry.

This area is good for the most part. It's perceived as being the home to predominantly black upper middle to upper classes. These areas are well contained in the hills. It's closer to the crime ridden Baldwin Village, which is well below the hills.

Ladera Heights/View-Park-Windsor Hills are in the county line of Los Angeles while Baldwin Hills is within the city limits of Los Angeles.

Question! Looking at apartments in the area near Stocker/La Brea in the Don Streets neighborhood. Is that safe? Would a rent between 1100-1200 sound too good to be true in that area?

My main interest is in all the walking trails and parks in the area. Is it a safe walking area? It looks nice enough on maps and street views.

Yes the Dons 'hood is safe and yes there are safe hiking and trails, especially across La Brea in the Hahn SRA.

Thank you! I've read a lot about the apartment areas just north of there that sounded scary. I'm moving from a very gated inner loop area of Houston so I'm used to paying a big chunk of my salary to housing but it's worth it for the trails and parks. The views on streetview of the area just look awesome. Of course, coming from a flat swamp city, any type of hill makes us pull over and grab a camera.

Hello all. I am new here with a question.

If you had to rank by..."prestige" for lack of a better word, how would rank the following areas from Very Best to Next Best, etc.:

View Park
Windsor Hills
Baldwin Hills
Upper Ladera
Lower Ladera
Old Ladera

???

Thank you.
