Hi All,

40 years old from Charlotte, NC/Single/No kids...Born and raised.....Went to college in North Carolina, settled in Charlotte....Worked in tv news for about 12 years until I got burnt out...then joined Corporate America as an administrative professional...Really tired of Charlotte...just burnt out regarding the city..Been there done that to everything.....Blah, Blah, Blah..u get my drift....What I want to do is sell my house(Fingers Crossed)...pack it up and move to Los Angeles...if not Angeles..somewhere in the burbs near LA.... Yes I know....way more expensive compared to Charlotte and totally different from Charlotte....but right now..I need that...no I CRAVE that..... With my background....do u think I could make it.....Just paid the last payment on my credit card, which is now at at $0 dollars... which mean no debt...no car payment...What do you think...Just trying to make a move for the 2012.......All feedback is encouraged and welcomed.

With a decent paying job you can live anywhere you want! What do you want to do, have you looked for work yet and know the areas you want to live? LA is HUGE.

You need to look for a job first, and don't think just L.A. (though by "L.A." you could mean much of Southern California, not just the City of L.A. or even the county). Why L.A.? Just for a change of scenery? Find a job, know your income and then find what you can afford in various areas. What area of the region is best for you only you know. As noted, it's a huge, spread-out area. The fact that you worked in Corporate America doesn't say much about your job prospects. Lots of people are looking for jobs. If you want a change of scenery, why not look in lots of parts of the country?
