hay i have it all the lights and mounts and equipment all decals and lettering even the original lapd hand light seen in one of episodes i have the correct radio head and stickers the onlthing i dont have is the nightsticks and holders let me know if i can help

Although Parker did prefer a smaller police force, I don't think you can blame it all on him. The decision to have less officers per capita in LA than in other large cities was also driven by political and economic concerns. I do agree that the smaller force was detrimental to the city. Not only was it less effective in fighting crime, officers knew that backup might not be coming, so this fostered an aggressive militiaristic approach to many police interactions with the public. This more than anything is a root cause of the bad reputation the LAPD has had for brutality. As far as L.A. Confidential being a realistic portrayal of the Parker era or anything else, well I doubt it. L.A. Confidential is to the LAPD of that era what Oliver Stone's JFK is to the Kennedy assassination.
