Anybody know off hand who the internet providers (standalone, no phone or cable bundles) are in NoHo? I'm going to likely be looking for mid-speed (10-20mbps) connection, and I don't particularly care if it's cable or DSL or whatever. I can't do contracts because I move frequently and I hate them anyway, lol.

I found Qwest, AT&T and Verizon (I think some or all may serve that area... but then, that's why I'm here). What advice, folks?

Verizon (Fios) is your best bet, if available, although they do have major discount for contracts. Can be pricey if you sign up without a contract.

I have TW, and while the service itself it great, their customer service is god awful. I would hesitate to say its "one of the best". It is contract free, however, so may work well. I will switch over to Fios when its available in my area.

You can't get FIOS in Noho, I'm with AT&T right now

Time Warner has a monopoly on cable internet in the NoHo area. I currently use them for TV and internet, but like others have mentioned, cannot wait until Fios comes to the area. Cable is the fastest based on the options available. Otherwise, you can do DSL with AT&T.
