ever since I came here from the east coast, my eyes have been pretty dry lately, the dryness here is brutal!!! how do you guys cope with the dry weather here?

You'll get used to it. Once you do, you'll never be able to live in a high humidity area again. You might try eye drops. I've heard that they help.

Eyedrops, sunglasses, take a q-tip with vaseline and coat the inside of your nasal cavities, drink lots of water and keep your skin moisturized preferably with sunscreen.

Lotion and chapstick, although I grew up in SoCal so I'm used to it - I hate humidity. If you think the coastal area is dry, try the inland areas (central valley, inland empire, etc.)!
