I opened my claim June 2012. In Oct 2012 I became disabled. My claim was switched to SDI. I will be released from SDI May 2013. I am eligible to take an additional 6 weeks bonding time. My question is My claim opened June 2012 can be reopened or not? I was disabled for some time before my position was eliminated and I am worried that I will no longer qualify. I cannot get thru and the email inquiry response was call to reopen and you will be advised then... Can anyone tell me? I am not sure if i should take the bonding time now or if it will move the clock and I will lose my earnings base period.

My earnings were based off of May-Oct 2011. I was on medical leave from Oct to January. I work End of January, all February and half of March then disabled again. I was laid off as of June 1. I filed my claim then and was disabled Oct 4.

HELP? I continue to email and try calling but to no avail.

Confusing - while on medical leave and still employed, were you collecting disability? When you say you filed in June 2012 (I'm assuming you are talking about unemployment), and then in Oct. 2012 you went back to disability? You are wondering if you should take bonding time? Did your employer take you back? Again, this is very confusing to unravel. Can you create a timeline?
