I thought I saw signs on the street for an open house that I couldn't find on Redfin. I also saw that Homesnap and perhaps Trulia had a couple listings that weren't on Redfin. Just wondering if Redfin (which takes from MLS) has everything out there.

Unlike those other website, Redfin is an actual real estate broker. Trulia does not have to provide up to date information and they don't have to remove homes sold homes.

Redfin is much better than the others. I thought it had everything on the MLS but could be wrong. Also maybe make sure in the settings that you select pending too as it might have gone pending and then won't show up unless you have that selected.

Yeah true, just because they are doing an open house doesn't mean it's on the MLS.

I think sometimes people forget you don't NEED an agent to sell or buy a house, but most people don't want to go that route.

You can also get listed on the MLS and those other sites if you are just trying to sell your house.

Some examples:
Flat Fee MLS Listing, Flat Rate MLS Listing, MLS My Home.com

Realtor.com Flat Fee MLS Listing. For Sale By Owner | Owners.com

Redfin earned my respect when I saw houses list for sale and close out of escrow and it reflected accurately on Redfin, but not other sites like Trulia and Zillow. I had to notify those companies that they had houses listed for sale when I knew they were completed over 2 months prior.

Yeah there's no point in looking on those sites if the data is so inaccurate in my opinion .

Only thing is if you are looking for some other cities , redfin has a lot but it's not nationwide like trulia and zillow .

Redfin does seem to be expanding though . It would be great if nationwide .
