I'm from back East (Jersey, born and raised) but I kinda feel that L.A. is my second home. Why? I guess it stems from my having lived out there for a time in the mid-'80's. Many "tourists" are attracted to the film lots, the walk-of-fame, etc. but after a day or so, they didn't faze me; to me those were like the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and other NYC places I see every day. Maybe it's the perennial sunshine and warm weather, the attractive bungalows, who knows? Incidentally, unlike the east coast, CA ppl know what "bungalows" are. I miss the Southland and I want to come "home", even if for a short visit.

Yeah , nobody can really tell you why you like something .

Do you feel it's wrong to like LA since you were born somewhere else?

You should visit if you feel that way. Or maybe move to la .

You don't want to regret it .

There have been different places I've thought of going and I haven't

I think most people are like this .

I've been fortune to see many different places but a lot more to explore .

I've been playing with the idea of moving to the Southland after I retire from my job; I'm 4 years away from retirement. I'll only be 55 but I'll still work - I'm not an idle person; I'll work until I croak!

Any place can be a second home, really. I never liked the state I grew up in, so any other place is more like home than there.
