So I'm 15 I currently live in Delaware. I want to (plan to) move to California in the future. I want to do it as soon as I graduate from High school. And attend a college in California like CSUN. What I need help with is I want to get some estimates on how much money I should save up, or need to make the move. I want to move to the San Fernando Valley area because I have cousins there. What's a good amount of money to save up. I know it's got to be Thousands. I could possibly live with my aunt for some time instead of blowing money on renting a apartment or buying a house so what is a good amount to save up to make the transition. I'm guessing 200K but I could be wrong it could be more or less. I'm currently saving up as much money as possible so hopefully I can get to a good amount.

Thanks anything is helpful

I

Yeah, $200K. If you manage to save up that much in 3 years from Delaware, why would you even bother moving?

If you didn't accidentally add an extra Zero in that figure, I would hold off for a few years before moving.

You will not be able to get in-state college tuition until you are a legal resident in CA for 1 year

Or finish high school where you are, move here, work for a year, save as much as you can, and then start college.

You are 15 and planning on saving $200,000 to move to CA? Some people don't save that in a lifetime. Most people don't.

I don't blame you. Who wants to live in Delaware?
