I know I'm going out on a limb by asking here but will try anyway. By north SFV I mean preferably north of Devonshire but would accept north of Nordhoff. I've checked Yelp already if that matters but wouldn't mind more input. No Crossfit either, just looking for a solid weightroom.

They just built a new giant gym in Sylmar, its a huge building that dosen't fit in with the rest of the area.

Thread update, I signed up for Powerhouse in Chatsworth.

Pros: well equipped, cheap
Cons: ghetto clientele

I think that is becoming a problem in a lot of LA in general .
As LA has gotten more expensive it seems ghettoness has actually become more prevalent .
I mean I don't want to live somewhere that it totally " yuppie" either but I think it's gotten out of hand in many ways . The excessive tattoos , the nasty attitudes , lack of manners .
Of course it's noticebly worse in certain areas .

CSUN doesn't have a gym you can pay to go to? Most public universities do.
