Yup.

Terrible. Misuse of the AIDS foundations funds. It's all a ploy to stop that single Palladium Residences development for being "too large". Guess what? The building that houses their offices is just about as tall, and it's been there for years.

Bull**** if you ask me. It pisses me off that people think that slowing development is going to have no effect on housing prices. Then they have the nerve to throw in, "but all these new developments are luxury housing, that doesn't help at all". Horrible argument.

Rich people will be moving into LA regardless of supply. Until we can easily house EVERYONE coming in, prices of all other homes and rentals will just continue to rise.

Future of LA is rail and urban density. People who fight it are dinosaurs who will be left behind. Actually not sure why people have any reason to oppose the development. Traffic has already hit critical mass where it's MUCH easier to take the Gold, Red, and purple lines with the expo and blue lines not far behind. I hate that there's no dedicated rail line near where I live. I'd take it if it existed.

I agree that rich people will continue to move in, mostly residing in the inner suburbs like Pasadena, Burbank, Studio City, Hancock Park, etc. the time when any of these locations is affordable to a middle class income, or even upper middle class income, has passed and fighting gentrification and true urbanization seems like such a waste. If people wanna drive I suggest moving to the outer suburbs and rarely coming into LA.

It's funny, when I visited Manhattan a few years ago, most of the vehicle traffic is taxis and private motor coaches. Every here and there id see someone driving a personal car and just looking absolutely miserable. And I'd think "how can this person be so dumb and stubborn to drive a car here". First day using a phone ap, I was able to navigate everywhere using the subway, with no prior experience. I would love to see LA's rail system develop to that point.
