Hi,
I am not quite sure whether Charter Oak is a city or not? If yes, what is the Zip code ? Is it 91724 ? I also see one of the covina Zip code is 91724 ..
Are both same or differrent ? I can see the city of COVINA site but not Charter Oak.. Why is it like that ??

Any thoughts on this ??

Thanks
Tyro

It's an area, not a city. A very nice area between Covina and San Dimas.

I say it's nice because it's clean, has lots of well-kept houses. The schools have ver good reputations and yes, crime in that area is low. I lived in West Covina for almost two years and if I wasn't moving out of State I'd move back there.

There's even a little bit of horse property there. Schools have good reps, but that's if you like public school.

Charter Oak is a nice area.. the only major crime really going on is teens drinking and smoking pot at Charter Oak park or Wingate park. The public schools are considered good. Nice and quiet neighborhoods throughout. I'm not quite sure the Charter Oak area has horse property as previously stated, I'm assuming they're speaking of properties located near Walnut Creek (secret tree house, what u know bout that) which I don't believe is part of the area. There's also a lot of really toy graffiti around Charter Oak.. in some areas it looks like little kids got a hold of spray paint. CO!!!!!!!!

There's no horse property there; you're thinking of San Dimas. Charter Oak is a CDP (Census Designated Place). Its boundaries are the 210 to the north, Valley Center Ave to the east, Covina Hills Road to the south and Grand Avenue to the west. It's served by the Charter Oak Unified School District, not to be confused with the Covina Valley Unified School District.

No, there is a Charter Oak school district but Charter Oak is part of Covina or West Covina, I am not sure which.
