I'm starting a restaurant in LA. Trying to identify all the required taxes (local, state, federal etc.). If you could point me toward the exact forms (and help me predict their amounts) that would be ideal. Thanks!

I would never in a million years rely on random CD members to provide the basic business info you just requested.

I usually don't respond like this, but in the time it took you to register here and post, you could have googled and gotten far more accurate info.

I agree. Not a good sign for your restaurant if you don't already know these things. Also would be surprised if you could get investors or a business loan without a business plan that demonstrates that you can project all of your expenses. So by starting a restaurant I assume you mean you would like to start a restaurant

I'd start with the local requirements, then the state, then the fed. That's the order in which they can make your life miserable.

Right, that's the question. Looking for pointers. Thanks.

Talk to your business lawyer? Certainly you have one of those if you're starting a business
