I know you're there now but glad you're taking the express bus. That's the best option. You might read this during the game so expect to see a line to get on buses but it will move steadily.

Uber/lyft going to the stadium is great but leaving is a nightmare. I was there earlier in the summer & there were hundreds of people waiting for uber/lyft rides. Never thought we'd get out of there.

Hello Everyone,

Here is an update. We arrived at the Gateway Transit Center at 5:00 PM, and there was a very long line of people. At about 5:10 PM, the first bus took off. Yet since we were at the back of the line, we were hoping to get on the 3rd bus, but unfortunately, we ended up having to get on the 4th bus. With the buses running about 20 to 30 minutes apart, we made it to the stadium parking lot at 7:00 PM, for the 7:10 game start time. Yet by the time we got to the correct part of the stadium (for our entry), went through security, went to the bathroom, got our snacks, then found our seats, it was about 7:45 PM. Yet overall, it turned out well . . . because the people that were in line at the transit station were a good group of well behaved people. The people were nice, friendly, and in good Dodger Blue spirit The ride to and from the stadium, was fun and pleasant.

We left the game at the end of the 7th inning, and easily found a bus going back to the transit center. There was only about 4 people on the bus when we boarded, so we ended up having to wait about 30 minutes for the buss to get filled, before the driver headed back to the transit center. I thought it might be a mad dash and having to wait in long lines to get on a bus back to the transit center (thus is why we left earlier). Yet since things worked out so great leaving, the next time we will probably leave at the beginning or in the middle of the 9th inning.

The next time we go, we will definitely get to the transit center at least 1 hour before the first bus leaves.

All-in-all, it turned out great EXCEPT, we wish that the Dodger would have won!

Thanks again, Everyone for your help.

When we went there in 2015, we waited for the last out, stopped at the store, walked over to the bus, and got right on. It was pretty packed/standing room only.

This past June, we waited until after the post-game fireworks were over, casually walked over to the bus, waited a few minutes, boarded, and were on our way.

IMO leaving early from the stadium doesn't change whether or not you will get on a bus or not. I would recommend getting to Union Station early if you want to see the first pitch though.
