I'm looking to move within the next few months (ideally renting a house in a neighborhood). I'm applying for work in Burbank or broader LA/DTLA, and my roommates will be working in Anaheim. We have about 4-6 adults and 1-2 kids depending on our finalized plans.

Is there a good "midpoint" city in terms of commute?

I've seen suggestions such as Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs or Fullerton. Our main priorities besides location are safety and price.

There is a big difference between DTLA and Burbank, when coming from the south.

I would not pick Norwalk or Santa Fe Springs; maybe Lakewood or Whittier or La Mirada.

Thank you for the suggestions! Right now I am leaning towards Burbank. But if I cannot work there then I will have to expand to DTLA or other places in proximity to those areas.

Are you talking about the traffic on the I-5 North?

You can use Metrolink Trains if you settle near a train station in Anaheim and your job is close to LA Union Station. The subway from Union Station to DTLA is free with a Metrolink ticket.

The monthly pass will be $245.00

To add: You can go to Burbank as well from Union Station with Metrolink.
