You know some animal has relived itself in every water source already, right? Pure water is pure water no matter where it came from originally.

All of the water on earth has been recycled countless times. Treated wastewater is probably more pure than if you tried drinking from a stream in the Sierras.

But this isn't water that's gone through a complete cycle, from the ocean, to the clouds, then down the mountains, rivers, and into our facets. This is a matter of skipping a whole bunch of natural steps and taking the BM's directly out of water by the lowest bidder and then giving it back to us. And based on how our schools, public transportation, etc. are managed, do you really trust government to thoroughly sanitize reclaimed water?

Have a water shortage? Simple resolve. Stop letting people into LA. Stop letting people into this country. The US is not the horn of plenty. We do have an unlimited water and food supply, and according to current statistics, we could be in grave danger by 2020.

Pretty much, yes and it's really something that is long overdue especially when it comes to irrigation and landscaping. That should have moved completely to treated water decades ago.
