I didn't mean schools or housing wise or demographics. The Warner Center plan in Woodland Hills is trying to become a regional financial services hub, like Irvine (sorry).

I remember when Warner Center was Warner Ranch with pepper trees on both sides of Canoga and Litton and Rocketydne were the only major employers in the area (unless you considered Farrell's Ice Cream a major employer).

At my old job I watched them tear down Rocketdyne from my office window. I heard they proposed it for the 2nd Amazon HQ. I hope the plan turns out well.

Heathkit had a store in Woodland Hills. I sure miss that place and the products they sold.

Didn't they relocate a bunch of them to the Sepulveda Basin?

My go-to store was in Anaheim.

I remember an old Army Navy surplus store, maybe south side of Ventura west of Topanga????? Maybe now Standard Brands paint? This was late 1960s. Or maybe it was further east on Ventura....can't remember.
Also remember the swim school on north side of Ventura maybe somewhere between Winnetka/Corbin/Tampa? Maybe 1966 or 1967.
Also, there was a YMCA Office on Ventura west of Fallbrook on the north side of Ventura. This was maybe 1968.

Rocketdyne consolidated to the Desoto facility which had been Atomics International decades ago. No more Fallbrook rec center. No more SSFL. No more Canoga facility. One of the valley's last remaing old school aersopace company. No more Hughes, Teledyne, Lockheed.
