Hello everyone,

Please help me out to narrow down my search on apartment hunt. whether South or North Redondo is better to live with small children. We are currently planning to move from Century City down to South Bay. Which one has more activities for the growing kids (they are 5 and 2) and which one is safer, more kids and family friendly, has best elementary schools and preschools ? our budget is up to $4200 for 3 bedroom (Manhattan beach is our most preferred neighborhood but real estate rental market is super slow and kind of above our budget) I would appreciate any help and advice.

Thank you

Looks like demographics doesn't vary as much north/south as much as it does east/west.

South Redondo (zip 90277) is generally more preferable to North Redondo. The rental and real estate prices will be higher in the south. Both areas are safe and family friendly.

When are you looking to move? If you like Manhattan Beach, have you taken a look at Hermosa?

I would check out the Riviera Village area in South Redondo. Nice neighborhood and vibe.
