We went to an event yesterday at The "Fabulous Forum" in Inglewood and we thought we scored with free parking in the neighborhood adjacent to it.

Then we noticed very convoluted signs posted on the streets basically saying only residents can park there after hours with permit. None of the other cars seemed to have any kind of permit. So what happens if city of Inglewood catches you parking on the street near SoFi, Intuit Dome or the Forum without a permit?

If you went there specifically for an event, why not just park in the HUGE Forum parking lot?

You get ticketed and/or towed. Both will cost you way more $$$ than if you just paid for parking at the venue. $400+ dollars if you are towed.

Signs arent confusing or "convoluted". Just pay attention to the signs. If it says "permit XX are exempt" and you dont have one of those permits, then dont park there.

Just park in the parking lot, or park somewhere a couple of miles away and Uber into the Forum.

The reason you didn’t see any permits in the cars is because the permits are digital. So residents each get two free permits, you just register your car by license plate in their system. Then the parking enforcement just scans all the license plates and flags it if it’s not a permanent or guest permit online

Although this probably won’t be anytime in the immediate future, but there’s a plan to build a peoplemover between the recently completed Metro Crenshaw/LAX rail line and SoFi Stadium/Fabulous Forum. I doubt if it will be operational by the 2028 Olympics.
