I might need refrigerator repairs. I used Google and Yelp, and predictably I got dozens of results, and it was hard to tell one apart from the other. The only thing I can think of, is to call some of them and get a feel for it. Of course the best thing is to ask people you know and trust.

Can you recommend anything beyond what I've done?

I guess there's no well-known chain business who fix appliances in your house?

I know there was a service at SEARS that fixed their brands.

Why wouldn't you search on your refrigerator brand website first?

Well, if you bought it in your city, call that store and ask for recommendations.

Ask your plumber for recommendations.

Ask a good hardware store for recommendations.

Ask your neighbors for recommendations.

If you like authorized dealers (I don't, but some people do), call authorized dealers for your brand.

I haven't had luck with Angie's List, but some people like that.

I went to the Frigidaire site. It seemed like I couldn't find out about charges etc. unless I set up an appointment.

Catch-22.

If you know what part of the fridge malfunctions, you can watch YouTube videos about its repair.

Sometimes, repairs can be costly.

The computer board is $431, for example.

I doubt any technician will take a board like this and tell you, "I will change this transistor and that capacitor. It'll cost you $10."
Of course, he will just replace the whole thing.

Call them. And call the store, if you bought it in L.A.
