Not sure what you are looking to spend but we went high end Jenn Air and love it. Our second choice was Bosch. We splurged and it was very pricy.

Samsung makes a very good, highly rated one that is lower in cost.

The only drawback we are having now is that one of our younger kids can pull out the freezer door by herself and help herself and her sister to popsicles when mom isn't looking.

I would check Consumer Reports for a brand that is considered reliable. If I remember correctly Kenmore, Whirlpool and Amana had the least problems. If I also remember correctly, stay away from LG. Lots of problems and expensive repairs. Jay

One thing - make sure the freezer is convenient enough for you. Some drawer/basket/freezer designs can be just plain annoying.

You are correct My LG has had so many problems (knock on wood its working just fine again).

I love the french door design as there is so much storage in the refrigerator section. I can put huge platters without any problems.
