Moving from Ohio, need help with the neighborhoods; which are better and safer? (Married with two daughters

Looking for 3-4 bedroom home with pool, rent from $2000-$2200 a month.

Areas I have found potential homes in:
Cherry Creek Drive, Valencia, CA, 91354
Claycrest Dr, Canyon Country, 91351

Thoughts on these areas?

averagebside is on a distinguished road
Valenica is better than Canyon Country. I live in Saugus so I am very familiar with Santa Clarita.
