The city I live in is perfect for my current needs but is likely to not be recommended by other posters. Each person's situation is different so when soliciting the opinions of strangers, you need to be specific about what you are looking for or else you could wind up in a place that you are miserable living in. I just saw in another thread about the safest cities in California and I don't think I'd be happy in many of them as they lack viable public transit options and too suburban for my liking.
