Any state that was considered a slave state during the civil war. Missouri would then be suspect as would Kentucky. My wife uses the Mason Dixon line which would then include Maryland and DC (she's from Maryland, we disagree on the mason dixon line). Which would mean that the capital of the North was in the South so we win on a technicality, but unfortunately, we beat ourselves, which is often the case.

Wrong. Kentucky was the ONLY state directly impacted by the 13th amendment. The Sothern States had their slaves freed by the emancipation proclamation, Maryland and Missouri outlawed it on their own before the amendment took effect, and KY was a slave state until the end. How would we be suspect, by any measure?
Ky. elected a confederate governor, two confederate senators, and a handful of confederate reps. That's whitewashed in the history books.

that you might be a southerner if sounded kind of arrogant. I was raised in the midwest and I can assure you that I was taught honesty and integrity and raised in church..... there are good god fearing people even in the north....

no arrogance intended. I actually have a plaque in my kitchen that says that so I was kinda quoting it. Didnt mean to imply northerners didnt' fear god or anything, I guess it just kinda goes along with the whole "Bible belt" of the south....

The SE corner of the state is southern and similar to Arkansas. You get to Oklahoma City and you're more in the Midwest.
