I am a college student transfer to ULL from Mid-South. Now, I am not familiar with the region of Lafayette. I plan to get 2br,1ba share with my classmate. The budegt is 800. Now, Could anyone recommend a great apartment or townhouse in the Lafayette.

Also, How about the safe in Lafayette, I was in Memphis, Safety is the most important issue there. How about Lafayette? If someone was in Memphis, hope you give me some comparison between Memphis and suburb town and Lafayette and Suburb town. That is great.

Thank you.

Lafayette is pretty safe and affordable. There are plenty of nice apartments that shouldnt break your budget and still within driving distance of everything. There arent many suburb areas near Lafayette but there are a couple small Cajun towns nearby within a 10 minute drive. The whole area is pretty well policed and the areas to avoid are not hard to locate.

I enjoy the area when I take day trips there, seems like it would be a good place to live, and I'd imagine that the real estate is affordable
