well, i dont follow a particular religion, just believe in good karma. beer is my favorite past time though so that sounds good. lol. im a single mom so which would be the best as far as that goes?

North Louisiana has little hurricanes, I live there-- however, you may miss out on the natural Louisiana elements South Louisiana has.

Northern LA is safer from hurricanes. However, it's also lacking in the traditional Louisiana culture and natural elemnents compared to South LA. In the north: Ruston is a college town and therefore has more amenities than some others. However, you also have a ton of college kids which may or may not be your thing. You may also want to consider one of the rural suburbs of a larger town like Shreveport (Haughton, Benton, Greenwood, Mansfield) so you have access to an airport, shopping, etc when you need them. Then again, if you're really just looking for a small town, that may not be an issue for you.
