Hi enofile,

I totally get why you'd look for a pet sitter rather than bording, because pets are more comfortable in their own surroundings. But after having disastrous results (with a family member, no less!), I highly recommend just shelling out the bucks for a boarding kennel.
I was much happier when I went that route--at least my dogs got fed and looked after, even though it cost me heaps!
(Mind you, this was here in Australia, but still.....)

Call around for rates, and any place worth it's weight in gold will give you people you can call for a reference. Your pet will thank you and you will have peace of mind while you're away.
cheers!

I pet sit in my home or your home. My home has a fenced backyard, a basement, a garage, or if your pet is sociable, well-behaved and potty trained, he/she is welcome to be a part of my home. I have extensive experience with pets and pet sitting. I can help you with behavorial training. I have two small dogs. I have always had dogs as part of my family. I have references. Please contact me at whenelephantsfly01@yahoo.com if you are still seeking a pet sitter.

I have a friend who is a dental hygeinist (sp?) and a pet sitter. She is very good and comes well recommended by the dentists she sits for. She also house sits.
Her email is VMcCallRDH @yahoo.com. Please tell her Christina recommended her if you should decide to contact her.
