Hey, was wondering if anyone had any idea of where I can find a headhunter in the Louisville area. I have had no luck, with any internet searches it seems like it is all temp services. I'm wanting a new career, I am college educated , but my field is dead end in every job you find. I have always been stumped when it came to finding other careers I might qualify for. I KNOW THE JOB MARKET IS ROUGH RIGHT NOW, SO NO COMMENTS ON THAT. Im still wanting to try and I need help finding my fullest potential. P.S. I do not want to leave the Louisville area, so it needs to be headhunters specializing in Louisville area. Please help ...

LOL on the steelers fan , you must be a colts or bengals fan that seems to cover most of Louisville, I actually have been to 2 bengals games since I moved here. On the subject I really don't know for sure , thats why I was seeking the help of a headhunter. I currently work in the social services field, I don't want to name my title , or what I majored in because I am afraid of someone I work with figuring out (I know a little paranoid but my field is small and close knit) I'm thinking maybe some kinda sales , and I am not afraid to do a little labor either. I am just not seeing a good road in my field salary wise, my wife and I have been putting off kids and different decisions because of lack of money. It is the same where ever I look in this field.

My advice? Don't seek the hunter yet. I would take a course in free market economics. Odds are that as a social servant, you have no clue as to how supply and demand really works. Without a full and complete understanding, how do your know your worth or potential worth in any career field?
Once that is done, I would contact a career center that offers aptitude and attitude testing. If you are going to expect income whether it be a salary or commission, your employer will want the greatest value for their cost.
You can do it!

I agree with tomocox...and i think you'll need a better idea of what field you want to go into before trying to find a headhunter. maybe some of those temp jobs aren't such a bad thing since you don't seem to know what you want to do.
