might be getting a job in the area and am wondering what daycare runs there. by the time i move if i get the job, my daughter will be 4. i currently pay $135/wk where i'm at. no idea where i'd be living there but it'd probably either be downtown or in the eastern areas

Sorry it took so long to respond. My neighbor manages daycares so I asked her for you. Rates vary from about $100/week up to about $145. I know that's a broad range. Given the areas you mention you'll find it $120 to $135 should be common. Good luck.

thanks for the response. i looked up a few and found one called kindercare that has several across the area. they told me $150 but it is a pre-K program. i'm hoping to get an offer soon and hopefully, be relocating to the area in the next couple of months. i'm also interviewing in a few other area in the northeast as well but i'd prefer louisville because of it's proximity to Ohio where i am originally from and have a lot of family there

You can always look into getting a nanny. They give your child %100 percent one-on-one attention and you get to avoid all the germs!
