Macon has so much potential, I dont see why everyone keep bashing and critisizing macon. In my mind if all the chips fell correctly it would be Atl, Macon, Savannah.(no peticular order of macon, savannah). These would easily be top 3 cities in Ga. Atlanta- biggest city, capital, Macon- hub of all things middle georgia(POTENTIAL) Savannah- Coast. one word sums up savannah. I go to macon often and i dont see a so called ''crappy city'', I see ''POTENTIAL''. Alot of critisism from Columbus and Augusta forum about Macon. Better stop critisizing because i see growth potential greatly in Macon Middle Georgia.

Where in the Augusta forum? I already responded to the person in the Columbus forum who said people in Augusta mention Columbus.

The most discussed city by the public living in Augusta isn't even in the state of Georgia(Columbia).

Oh and Atlanta is only the biggest due to the large Metro area
If not for Atlanta Augusta would be the largest
Which we all should know that Augusta is a consolidated city
after that would be Columbus

Macon has seen it's day, and hasn't recovered. It's just too close to Atlanta as far as attractions go. People would just rather drive the extra 80 miles. Maybe not a bad place to spend the night in a motel or hotel (while on 75 or 475), but unfortunately, lodging is somewhat scarce.

Macon has a lot of potential, but there are too many voters that can't see the point of development and would prefer to live the way it is, keeping new people out.

Of course, not everybody feels that way, and this should be an interesting year for voting since we have now consolidated with the county, and thus, more people who see potential in Macon.
