Edgewood is a private college so unless you have some scholarships you probably will not see much of a cost advantage compared with UW - Madison.

You may also try Herzing College or Madison College (formally Madison Area Technical College). Not sure if you can do a BS in Nursing at either, but you may be able to start your degree and transfer to a four-year school.

Madison College does an Associates degree in nursing, and at least some of the credits you can earn there can transfer to 4-year campuses in the UW system. Madison Area Technical College

Herzing University has both an Associate's and a Bachelor's program in nursing, though I'll warn you that the tuition there is pretty spendy. Herzing University in Madison, Wisconsin

Edgewood College also has a well-regarded nursing program, but tuition is on the high side there, too. Liberal Arts College - Madison Wisconsin - Alumni - Edgewood College

Aside from that, I think there are a couple of places that offer online nursing degrees (Phoenix University, Cardinal Stritch, probably others), but I guess it's hard for me to imagine getting a decent nursing education that way. Nursing seems to me to be a field where some hands-on education is pretty critical.
