What are the good companies to work with in WI?

Online is not preferable these days. Everyone needs to make personal application with a local lender/company that cares. If you have issues, then you can walk in their office, get face to face and discuss what you need.

Who would you recommend?

I love Summit Credit Union! We just got our pre-qualification letter and have been very happy with them. Low closing costs, excellent rates, lots of options. As far as financials go, they are fantastic all around.

In my "previous life" I did business with most in the area and found First Horizon to be one of the better outfits. If you e-mail me privately I will tell you the ones that you definately need to avoid.

Oooh I would say also, don't go anywhere with the word "ASS" in the name, if you know what I mean. They are the scum of the earth and should be avoided at all costs. Don't be deceived by their seeming "convenience".
