So here's the deal me and a couple of my frat brothers graduate college in may and we decided we want to pack up and move to Maine but we don't know where. Any suggestions on good starter spots for us. We would like to find a place that is in decent driving distance of Augusta, Portland, and Boston. If it helps 2 of us have Criminal Justice degree's and the other has a Athletic teaching degree. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My fiance and I are also recent college grads (Me: Political Science, Her: Fisheries Biology) and are moving to the Portland area. We targeted that area because it seems that it has the best employment opportunities in Maine, at least temporarily.

We aren't averse to moving anywhere really. If we get there and the job market is too bad for us to have the decent standard of living that we have here, we'll just move again.

Best of luck to all of you!

Portland is a great city with all sorts of activities and energy. Enjoy!

Without a mortgage or children you are both able to move around and explore.

You young'uns should do just fine

Why Maine? Not being obnoxious but I was trying to think of a good answer to your question and without knowing what your reasons for choosing here it is hard to suggest a place. Portland seems obvious for the flexibility in driving distances and for the activities available that would appeal to people just starting out after college but it may not be what you are looking for if you are looking for if you want say a more rural area.
