After 2 years of searching for the right product, followed by price negotiation.
Finally today we took delivery of ten 'Stiebel-Eltron' solar thermal collectors. These units are 'Sol 29' made in Germany.
Now we need to figure out how to mount them so that we can begin using solar thermal to heat our home.
Everyone seems to agree that using Solar Thermal is a great economical source of winter heat, but actual numbers are hard to find. I want to monitor and record the actual quantity of btus that these panels give us each day. If it can give us 200kBtu/hour on Winter Solstice, I want to be able to know that.
Maybe it can help others who are thinking about power and heating alternatives.
