we went to the lake fishing got there at 4am.
as the fog was lifting we could see that the shore has realy built up since i was there last house's every where.as we are cruzeing i see like 8 or 10 realy nice homes with swiming pool's.4 of them were inground.
this doesnt make sence to me why have a pool when you have a lake.
is it a status thing keeping up with the jones's.

You were probably just seeing things. The mind plays tricks on you if you get up too early. 4:00 AM is ther middle of the night!

I dunno what part of Maine you live in, Maineah, but here in Milo by 4 AM (especially on non-foggy mornings!) it's been light enough to see well enough outside for a couple of hours.

Though it doesn't actually rise until 4:48... that morning twilight is amazing...

I'm about a half a mile from the lake. I have one of those pools for Emily she's 8. I can't walk down to the lake everyday and spend a few hours. I am able to do yard work and be inlisten, talking to her distance and feel like we are together and I am getting things done. Now, if I had the lake in the back yard then their would not be a pool here.

Safety is one issue. Another may be that people don't like the rocks or the muck under their feet. (That would be me)

Ranger, you are one wild Nature Boy! The rocks and muck don't bother your feet! Some folks want to live by a lake for reasons other than swimming! Maybe they like the view, maybe it's for status as you say, or maybe it's just that the land they bought happens to be near the lake!

you can put light in the pool and turn it on at night.
