Are there any good pumpkin patches in Maine? Every year a couple weeks b4 Halloween my hubby and I take the kids to Vala's which is a pumpkin patch here. It is a wonderful family outing that we look fpward to every year. It has lots of good food, corn maze, hayrack rideout to the patch to pick your pumpkin, and many other forms of entertainment up tp and including pig races. Is there any thing close in Maine? Thanks for the info.

I know there are pumpkins all over the State. Even clear up here, we have a place that has a corn maze, and plenty of pumpkins to choose from, either by riding out to cut your own off the vine, or picking one they have brought up to the front building. It is Goughan's Farm and they have all kinds of you-pick items.

Nope not really. They do have homemade hand dipped ice cream that is a bit spendy for the area. $1.50 for a 2 scoop ice cream cone, and in season you can get their fresh, made right there, maple syrup drizzled over it for the cost of walking 25 feet to the sugar shack and asking for it. Yeah, you can get fat for cheap up here.

Yeah, junk food tend to be cheap. Next time you are in the Washburn Food Mart (I know that is where you were at, it is the only place to buy anything in town) pick up one of Dans whoopie-Pies. The are right up by the counter, and he makes them fresh. Pumpkin or chocolate you can't go wrong.

Yippee!!! I love corn mazes. We have one here that can take up to 4 hours to get through. Most people make it in just over 2 though.

Treworgy Family Farm in Levant has pumpkins, apples, a corn maze, a snack bar and petting zoo. I was there in December when everything was closed and I was still very impressed with the family and farm. NICE people.

We have goats that are friendly and a pig that is very very affectionate [he really likes to be pet and have his belly rubbed].
