Mainers have turned out in force for this election and it's good see folks exercising their right to vote.

All over Hancock County polling places were full of smiling people. The weather was beautiful. It's good to live in America.

A couple more hours til bedtime but it's been an enjoyable evening so far.

Um, nevermind! I'm thinking no extra lagging votes will overturn this election!!

I don't know, but I think you should buy beer on election day, or any other day. In West Virginia, it is illegal to sell liquor on Sundays, Christmas Day and election day. Many years ago, it was rumored that a vote in a southern rural county cost a 1/2 pint of whiskey. You rarely see 1/2 pint bottles any more.

Does Maine have any odd laws on the books regarding election day? In West Virginia, it is a legal holiday for state government workers.
