Temple Hills (in southern Prince Geo. County inside the Beltway) is on the list? Are they kidding?

Peppermill Village -- do they mean the apartment project that's on Central Avenue (Capitol Heights) - or is there another place in MD by the same name?

When I saw Baltimore Highlands around the mid-point of the list, I knew it was legit.

There are some lists that are just bologna. And this list is one of them...

Yeah, as a resident of Poolesvile, I'm happy to see we made the list -- but at the same time, I laughed when I read this thing a couple weeks ago.

If you read the entire article, it explains some of the criteria that were used -- and it did go by such things as the average sale price of homes, school rankings, and average salaries paid by the area employers. I believe the crime rate factored in too. Notably, it did NOT even attempt to factor in such concepts as stress levels of the residents, "value for the dollar" on housing, or attempt to rank overall happiness in the communities.

Personally, I think it's also kind of ridiculous to allow Potomac, North Potomac and Travilah to occupy 3 separate places on the rankings! I guess they're technically different communities, but you can barely tell when you enter one and leave the next, when you drive up past Rockville into Travilah or North Potomac!

I get that these kind of "best of" lists will ALWAYS be highly subjective. But to at least make SOME attempt to do one properly, I think you need to examine all of the criteria people actually consider when moving. I really don't know anyone except for a seller who gets excited by the fact that the average home in an area sells for a whole lot of money? Even people who have a lot of money and want to buy a big home want to hear about places where that can be obtained at a good price!

The following should not be listed Burtonsville, Temple Hills, Lake Arbor, District Heights and Kettering. That's just my personal opinion.

And nothing from the entire northeast corner of the state (Harford and Cecil Counties) anywhere in the top 50? Total crap. Lots of happy people there.

Eh.....any list of "best places to live in MD" that doesn't include Fulton (unincorporated) is pretty worthless in my view.

When I saw Peppermill Village on this list, I knew I couldn't take it serious.
