I'm trying to get from Natick to Methuen tonight, leaving Natick around 4pm. Looks like I have to start on 95N, then can either hop on 3N or 93N.

Does anybody have experience with either of these routes this time of day, that could advise me on which one may be less congested?

Any help is appreciated.

3 is generally better than 93. But to get to Methuen from 3 you'l have to hop on 495 and then 93, right?

I think so...doesn't seem like any smooth way around this. A friend at work just pointed me to smarttraveler.com which shows you real time traffic speeds on all major routes, so I might just monitor that shortly before I leave and see what may work best...oye. wish me luck!

Maybe you'll get lucky and everyone will leave early today for the Cape!

If I were you, I'd find Rte. 27 north until I got to Rte.117, then go west until I-495N and on to Methuen. And if I heard that there was a ton of traffic on I-495, I might just stay on Rte. 27 until it hits I-495 around Chelmsford.
