Hi everyone- we have a 6th grader with a language based learning disability who was just accepted into the Carroll School AND the Landmark School. Each has its pros and cons (cost, distance, etc). Does anyone have any opinion on either school for comparison?

Not sure if this is still an active thread. I have the same issue except I have an accepted 5th grader. He's dyslexic with inattentive ADHD. What are the pros and cons?

The posters are probably long gone, but you can try PMing sue723. She might get an email notification.

Is anyone on this forum able to provide more insight on this? I have a 3rd grader with a LBLD who was accepted into each of these programs. We are in the metro west area. We have gotten a better vibe from Landmark but Carroll is MUCH closer to our house (20min vs 1hr commute each way).

Our concern is that the farther distance will have a toll on our child and negate the advantages of Landmark.
Any thoughts would be great. We are also a bit wary of the movement from taking public funding at Carroll and the motivations behind that and how it will manifest itself over the coming years.

Thanks!

It depends on what advantages you feel Landmark has and your concerns about the move from public funding. I will say, don't underestimate the commute to Landmark, it is brutal.
