Hi All,

Wife and our a fan of Blue Apron and the other services that provide groceries through the mail and accompanying recipes. We've found we save quite a bit through using them. We're not in to eating junk, and it seems like these services save you quite a bit if you're trying to eat reasonably well. And the convenience cannot be beat. We wasted way too much of our time trying to figure out the menu rotation and shopping for ingredients.

Do any of you know of any local meal kit services (not meal delivery services)? I would prefer not to use a national service for sourcing food. In particular, I'd be interested if you guys know of any services that provide locally grown produce heavy meal kits. If you don't have anything local in mind, have any of you had success with national meal kit services that fit that description?

Thanks!

I'm not aware of any local companies that are like Blue Apron. I'd suggest signing up for a farm share but I know that's not really what you're looking for. I've only ever used Blue Apron but it seems there are copy cat services popping up every day so there is no shortage of services to try.

Personal chefs will prepare meals for you, similar to Blue Apron, but you don't have to cook. I am not aware of a local option where you obtain the ingredients and cook the food yourself.
