I like to gamble every once in a while. So, I'm sure I'll make it there eventually. I'm curious if any of you folks have been there yet as I've been getting mixed reviews from friends who have.

One friend last night told me blackjack tables on the weekend are $50 min bet which seems pretty high to me. Clearly they don't want low rollers (like me ). Another friend last week told me the poker dealers are a very mixed bag. One of them when raking the table grabbed one of the players cards and he had the best hand at the time.

I heard $50 blackjack tables are pretty standard on the weekend as well. That seems crazy to me, but they must be relying on supply and demand working in their favor for now. I've also heard there are a lot of 6:5 payout tables, so you've got to make sure you're sitting at a 3:2 table. There are plenty of $25 tables at the Wynn in Las Vegas, even $10 during the week.

I almost went to check it out this evening but it is too hot to schlep about. I'd like to take the the water shuttle from Rowes wharf to check that out as well.

Have a few friends that went. Planning a fall group outing.

First comments I've heard have been the table minimums are pretty high...and no pool

It's been about a decade since I've been out to Vegas and I understand that pools out there have become "party central" during the daytime and are no longer just a place to lounge around and cool off. So, I can understand why people might want a pool at Encore Boston.

This being said, I have no interest in partying at the pool at Encore Boston. If I was staying there for a few days maybe. I would imagine though that if I go I'll be there for an evening and I'll likely head home after. Maybe I'm just old and lame.

Boozy pool parties? That kind of fun isn't allowed in MA anyway.

Are there any hotels that do this here? Decouple the idea from casinos and it still doesn't seem like a thing here. Maybe there is something about gambling that turns people into raging pool partygoers.

Hotel Indigo does I believe.
I don't gamble, but last time I was in Vegas I did enjoy the caesers pool in the day while everyone lost their money inside.
