Hi all,
Moving to the area for a job at Brigham & Women's hospital.

Briefly, we're looking for:
-a good size (3BRs+, 1-2 bath ish) single family in more of a suburb environment, ideally more metro-west than south
-good schools
-$500-600k
-<45 minute commute to the Longwood area (obviously the shorter the better)

Based on my initial research, it looks like we don't have a lot of options for various reasons (commuter rail and T have very limited access to Longwood, Brookline/Newton/Wellesley/Lincoln/Weston/etc are way above our budget...).

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Canton is probably your best option. 45 minutes door to door is a stretch though.

Take a look at Natick. The schools aren't as prestigious as Lexington or Newton but they are still good.

Natick is a good option. Also look at Medfield. They have very good schools, and it's not a ridiculous commute. I know a couple people who are priced out of Brookline, Newton, Wellesley, etc. have gone there.

Medfield is a good suggestion.
