We are planning to move in Dec within MA and selected cities/towns are Natick & Westborough.
The reason for moving is Kids (in 11th Grade & 4th Grade) one is in High School & the other one in Middle.
Need advice on which one is best for a high schooler we are currently in Mansfield.
We are advised (by a friend in Natick) that Natick schools have good funding and have the latest labs and equipment, Quality of teaching and assignment and preparation for College is better in Natick as compare to Westborough.
Any thoughts and advice will be of great help for us and the kids.
Also in Natick, we are looking at Natick Village Townhome and in Westborough, we are considering Arrive apartments.
Apartment though is 2nd priority Schools (especially High school) is 1st priority. Also with partial and full virtual schooling which one is better equipped and doing well?
Thank you..

Reason: missed details
I'm not sure about GS ratings all I'm looking for is a personal opinion.
I think you will be hard pressed to find somebody on here with familiarity of all three places. I have personally heard good things about Mansfield, nothing on either Westborough or Natick. Westborough scores near the tops in most "rankings", but you don't care about that so...
Mansfield High has a GS rating of "8", Westborough High is "8", and Natick High is "6". You sure you want to move???
Not sure I would base any decisions on ratings from GS. That site is absolutely horrible.

You're probably right. It will be hard to find someone with personal experience in all three school systems. In my experience, people don't tend to complain much about their school system in MA (virtual learning and special education aside). Everyone seems to think where they live is pretty great.
Have you asked your 11th grader how they feel about moving halfway through their junior year? Personally, I wouldn't dream of moving when my kids were already in high school.
I grew up in Westborough and one of my sons now lives in Natick. I don't think that either community is sufficiently different from Mansfield to warrant moving; especially in the midst of a pandemic.

I agree, and don't put much stock in ANY of those rankings. Although I must say, I have more faith in GS than some of the other garbage that gets posted here ie. "Boston Magazine".
I am also puzzled about the idea of moving *for* kids if they are already in 11th grade and in middle school. At that point, I would think that would be the biggest reason against moving, unless there is something more going on where something very negative is impacting one or both of the children at their current schools. If that is the case, I think a more specific or narrow inquiry is needed.

I can't decide which is worse . . . GS or Boston Magazine? Personally, I don't trust ANY ranking/rating that Boston Magazine puts out. They have an annual "Top Realtors" feature and it's so clearly pay for play because a lot of the agents they listed worked for a single company (the company probably paid) and also many of the agents listed are definitely not top producing agents. Reminds me of this company "Top Agent" magazine. If you pay them then they write a feature about you and put you on the "front page." Agents post the feature on their Facebook page and everyone oohs and aahs. I don't think they even print and distribute the magazine.
