Meeting a friend for lunch or early dinner at Newburyport and later walk the boardwalk, get ice cream. Midweek.

My favorite always is Loretta's. But we would like to sit by the water. The place must have vegetarian option, and sea food is not veggie
Thank you.

If you like Thai food, I really like Brown Sugar by the Sea - plenty of tasty dishes, including an extensive range of vegetarian options - you can tell the folks who set up the menu have vegetarians in mind as important customers too - rather than an afterthought. The Harbor Walk sidewalk is right behind it, so very convenient if you do the Harbor Walk, which I highly recommend, especially beautiful around sunset - the best part is from the boardwalk by the Tuscan Grille (west) out to the little boat launch on Joppa Flats (east).

I think the place with the best location is Sea Level Oyster Bar - the front terrace overlooks Market Square and the back terrace overlooks Waterfront Park and the center of the boardwalk - which is also part of the Harbor Walk. I like the food there too, but vegetarian options are a little thin - a smattering of pizza, pasta and salads.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Sounds great. Smattering of pizza and salad will do
I hope this remains a thread. We need a restaurant thread for MA and one for Boston.
