Youth sports are very big in Hingham (and other towns), particularly hockey. Kids tend to play town and club in addition to things like lacrosse and baseball. Not sure if you've seen a hockey bag but they're large and heavy to fit skates, helmets, pads, etc. If you have multiple kids you need a large car to have room for the bags. Many people have a dog too.

You mean Route 3, not 93.

I was on 93N. If the name has changed it's still 93 to me lol. The highway.

XC90 and 4 Runners have good size cargo holds. Fido can fit too. I don't know....those Suburbans seem like overkill even if they have kids involved in sports. What's worse is the oblivious drivers of one of those things who thinks there's no one else on the road except them....watch out and get outta their way! lol

I dunno. I wouldn't really want to be driving a car that big but if I had 4 kids with a lot of equipment that i was driving all over the place maybe id want some space. They certainly are gas guzzlers but I don't think that crowd thinks about that.

4 kids who all play sports I guess you'd need one of those things. However, I'd be willing to bet many of the people driving them have 2 kids.

That would be the other thing I'd hate....having to go to the gas station to fill up every other day.

It's the third row - much roomier than most three-row SUV's with third rows that are a joke.

I opted for a hybrid minivan instead of a Suburban.

Probably a lot easier to drive and maneuver!

Yes, I think I am superior to most three-row SUV owners.
